Wind power is the conversion from wind into an useful form of energy.

A wind turbine is a device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into mechanical energy.
Wind blows across a turbine causing it to turn.
The turbine is connected to a generator, wich uses the rotary motion to produce an electric current.
This current is transferred to the power grid or stored in batteries.
